Honoring leadership
Just one of the day’s highlights will be the Black Excellence Awards, also organized by the Uncommonwealth Group, which will recognize the achievements of Black Worcester people.
“(It is) for unique Black gentlemen in the community that have served do massive points, distinct neighborhood leaders from (Unity 97.9 FM executive director) Ernie Floyd with his radio station, even Kendrick Ball with (boxing fitness center) Camp Get Appropriate,” Luster said. “These are fellas that do terrific matters in our community that are missed for awards, so we want to exhibit them we recognize all they do.”
